The finest academic law library in the region is located
in the very Faculty building, occupying the area of around 2,000 sq. meters,
with 600 sq. meters of reading rooms, one of which is reserved for researchers
and teachers only. The outstanding collection of materials from all bodies
of law, as well as from other social sciences, in Serbian and in foreign
languages, is comprehensively catalogued by author and subject both in hard-copy
and in electronic format.* The Library Bulletin with information on new
titles is published every two months. In addition to electronic searches of the Library's
resources, the academic network users have electronic access to the largest
libraries in Thus the library provides an attractive setting for the
work of both students and faculty and is an important information center for
practicing lawyers and scholars from other disciplines. A significant number of
work stations, with the possibility of connecting portable laptop computers to
the Library network, makes the Library an ideal environment for legal research
and study, where researchers can easily work with books and electronic
information sources. *The Library collection comprises 138,000 monographs,
2,670 titles with 32,600 years of serial publications,
reference collection with over 400 encyclopaedias, lexicons, dictionaries and
other reference books, and a priceless collection of
91 rarities (featuring several XVII and XVIII century editions of Justinian’s
Codification, a singular edition of Corpus Iuris Canonici, etc.). |
