Monroe E. Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition

 

The following students are members of the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade team:

Aleksandar Besarović was born on May 26th 1992 in Belgrade. After attending the French School in Belgrade he went on a exchange program in the US and graduated from the Decorah High School with honours. He enrolled at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in 2010- Department for international law studies. He is currently on his third year of undergraduate studies, and is planning to pursue master studies in the field of Commercial Law. He was runner-up junior champion of Serbia in rowing and also speaks fluently both English and French. He enjoys skiing, tennis and working-out.

 

 

 

Aleksandra Dubak was born in Belgrade on 19th November 1988 and is currently attending her final year of undergraduate studies in the area of Legal theory at the University of Belgrade Law School. Previously, she graduated with honors from the XIII Belgrade High School. During her studies, she worked as an intern for five months at the leading Serbian NGO “Civic Initiatives” in Belgrade. Furthermore, she was an intern in the First Court in Belgrade, where she assisted in criminal cases. In 2011, she was acquired a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) during a two month German language course at the Herder Institute of the University of Leipzig. She took part in various law courses and seminars, primarily in labor law and dispute resolution methods. She is a member of ELSA (European Law Students’ Association). Upon graduation, she plans to pursue postgraduate studies in the field of Media Law. One of her hobbies is being a volunteer tour guide as a Belgrade Greeter, service of the Belgrade Tourist Organization. She is fluent in English and has upper intermediate knowledge of German.

 

Stefan Ignjatović was born on 9th June 1990 in Pirot. He graduated from School of Electronics and enrolled at University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in 2009. He is currently attending the final year of undergraduate studies. Apart from Media Law, he is also interested in Criminal Law. His interests include music. He is fluent in English.

 

 

 

 

 

Igor Radovanović was born on 6th March 1992 in Belgrade. He graduated from the IX Belgrade High School with honours and enrolled at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in the academic year of 2010/2011. He is currently attending the third year of undergraduate studies in the area of Legal Theory. He participated in numerous seminar groups at the Faculty, most notably Introduction to Jurisprudence. Apart from Media Law, he is also interested in Civil Law, especially Contract Law. His interests include literature, cinematography and eSports. After graduation, he is planning to pursue master studies. He is proficient in English, intermediate in French and has an elementary knowledge of Russian.

 

 

Karolina Ranković was born on 24th July 1990 in Valjevo, Serbia.  She graduated from the Economic High School with honours and numerous awards from the competitions in history. She enrolled at University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in academic year of 2009/2010 and she is currently attending the fourth year of undergraduate studies in the area of Legal Theory. She is active member at the NGO “Open Communication” and also the member of Debate club of Faculty of Law. In the last two years, she participated at various debate competitions in British Parliamentary Debate and she was a part of organizing team of the European University Debate Competition in Belgrade in 2012. Furthermore, Karolina has been working as an intern in a Belgrade Law office “Stojković & Prekajski” which has specialised in Media Law and Intellectual Property Law. Each year she has been awarded for her academic success by Faculty of Law and she has been getting scholarship from the Fund for Young Talents. Apart from Media Law and Intellectual Property Law, she is also interested in the Company Law. She is fluent in English and has intermediate knowledge of French.

 

Nina Talić was born on 14th June 1989 in Belgrade. She attended Fifth Belgrade High School and graduated with honors from Grosse Pointe South High School, Grosse Pointe, MI. She is currently attending the third year of undergraduate studies in the area of Legal Theory and participated in numerous projects and seminars at the Faculty and other extracurricular activities. Apart from Media Law, she is also interested in the Tax Law. Her interests include Dramatic Arts, especially theater. She is fluent in English, has intermediate knowledge of French, and basic knowledge of Spanish and Russian.

 

 

 

Boško Vojkić was born on 22th August 1990 in Belgrade. He graduated from the Zemun High School with honours and enrolled at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law in 2009 – Department for Legal Theory studies. He is currently attending the fourth year of undergraduate studies and is planning to pursue master studies in the field of Intellectual Property Law. His academic success was awarded on several occasions, including the Scholarship from the Fund for Young Talents and Scholarship from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia. Owner of a vast number of certificates for achievements during studies at different levels in the field of history. His interests include tennis, volleyball and traveling.
